"Jerusalem of Gold" watercolor painting with 24K Gold and Copper

It takes 6 months to paint this watercolor artwork dear to our heart because the love me and Asaf have for Jerusalem. Asaf is 6 generations in Jerusalem, his ancestors were among the first to arrive, back when the entire city was fields. As you can see in the pictures, this is why I needed my husband’s observation to choose the most Jerusalem-like color for the windows, the shape of the window, the appropriate color of the stones…. Until this day, we have not been able to stay away from her. We wish we could also know Jerusalem at this time when Asaf was a child. This painting was done entirely while singing, the poem by Naomi Shemer (translated below) so add it pure gold 24K and copper, like she was wrote:

“Cool mountain air, pine-needle scented,

As clear as Autumn wine,
