Ketubah “Smashing the glass” vitrage – Hand painted with gold 24 K

This “Smashing the glass” ketubah is a one of a kind piece of art hand painted with watercolor and gold. The uniqueness of this ketubah comes from the marriage between the modern style of broken glass and the romanticism of the doves that carry the tallit to accompany the new couple to the chuppah at sunset. The doves represent Shalom and the love of the Jewish couple since they never separate, just as the Jewish people never separate from their Creator and the Torah. The broken glass remember the glass that the groom broke during the wedding to commemorate the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. May the people of Israel soon have the merit of gluing their broken glass together and bringing about the Messiah through the love of the Jewish people, which begins first in the couple.
The Gold I used is pure gold powder 24K I mix by myself to be used in painting or immitation gold painting which looks similar.
The gilding of this painting is hand-painted on a lithograph of my original watercolor drawing previous printed on acid-free cotton matt paper 240 gr at a printing house that specializes in museum-quality giclee art printing.

       All texts have been reviewed by rabbis who are experts in the field of marriage and ketubah in order to be accurate in the original texts and kosher for jewish weddings. For any additional personal design such as writing names, adding an English translation to the existing text, or any other request, please contact us after consulting your Rabbi. We recommend to consult the Rabbi who will guides the chuppah regarding the correct text to choose from the list above. English translation is not available for all the designs.  There is a jewish tradition to write the sentence “בסימן טוב ובמזל טוב”, “בעזרת השם” – “In a good sign and with good luck”, “With God’s help” at the begining of a ketubah as you can see on the pictures, but if you prefer to write only the mention “שטר כתובה” please contact us after the order.
