This handmade watercolor jewish ketubah was hand painted with a lot of love for Eretz Israel during the time the pomegranates tree produce wonderfull flowers whice will become juicy pomegranates. I have the privilege to see this wonderfull scene in my garden here in Israel every year, with butterflies flying around the flowers see the last picture . May everyone could see this also !
Especially in this difficult time of war, this ketubah symbolizes the love of our land and the abundance of love that God brings to us through the nature, and most importantly, the continuation of the love in the Am Israel. I painted ketubahs with a lot of prayers for the new couple…
In Judaism, the pomegranate used a lot of times:
– It’s one of the seven species which the land was blessed.
– It symbolizes the people of Israel because it contains exactly 613 seeds, corresponding to the 613 commandments of the Torah.
– In our jewish tradition, the pomegranate was widely used for decorate our first Holy Temple where two rows of pomegranates were built on the latticework (1 Kings, Chapter 7). — Also the High Priest’s (Cohen) coat was decorated with pomegranates.
This ketubah is available in original painting or printed on acid-free cotton matt paper 240 gr at a printing house that specializes in museum-quality giclee art printing. In order this creation will be unique and original, touch of colors will be add to the print.
