The Hamsa is known in the Kabalah as a protection due to the number 5, which is the number of fingers. The number 5 is known in Kabbalah as a repellent and a protector against the evil eye. The color blue azure is also the color of one of the stones that were on the throne of God and is therefore also known as a repellent. That is why I chose these colors in combination with gold for this hamsa to be a protector blessing for the home. The painting around is giving to this hama a marocan style like the old sepharadi jewish grand mothers who was wearing it.
