The abundance that a Jewish woman brings to her home was the emphasis I wanted to bring to decorate this powerful poem that King Solomon wrote to his mother: Bathsheva, David’s wife. For this reason, grapes were chosen, a symbol of abundance, as it is written in the Psalms: “Your wife is like a fruitful vine in the courtyards of your house.” Our sages explain that all the abundance of the home comes from the woman. She is the center of the home, this is also the reason why only she is able to give birth to children. The Jewish woman is all heart and love for her family, so I wanted to draw this.
You could choice to order this piece with or without gilding, metal gilding or 24K gilding. The gilding is handmade with gold leaf on an archival giclée print of my original watercolor hand painting (If you desire an original painting also, please contact me). The paper used is a high-quality 300 gr acid-free Italian paper. You could choose to give a “jewelery painting” to your wife/ bride by choosing the option of 24 K Gold leaf.
